On Sunday, December 6, 2015 the Warsaw Fire Department was dispatched to a house fire on Palmer Street. One of Warsaw Fire Department’s members, firefighter Alex Busse rented an apartment at that address. Busse was not home at the time of the fire, however he was one of the first firefighters to respond. Firefighter Busse did not have renter’s insurance and lost his home and all of his possessions in the fire. The Warsaw Fire Department is hosting a Benefit Spaghetti Dinner and Chinese Auction on Saturday, December 19 from 12PM – 7PM at the Warsaw Legion Hall to help him get back on his feet during this holiday season. In addition, we will be conducting a boot drive on Route 20A in the Village of Warsaw on December 27, from 8AM to 12PM.
